About the London Eye

The London Eye is a massive Ferris wheel located on the South Bank of the River Thames. It stands 135 meters tall and has a diameter of 120 meters, making it the largest Ferris wheel in Europe.

The London Eye has 32 passenger capsules, each of which can hold up to 25 people.

The wheel rotates at a speed of 0.6 miles per hour, which allows passengers to take in the stunning views of London without feeling dizzy or disoriented.


What to Expect

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a giant Ferris wheel that’s impossible to miss. You can purchase tickets on-site, but it’s recommended that you book in advance to avoid long lines.

Once you’re ready to board, you’ll step into one of the 32 passenger capsules, each of which is fully enclosed and air-conditioned.

As the wheel begins to turn, you’ll slowly rise above the city, getting a bird’s eye view of some of London’s most famous landmarks.

You’ll be able to see Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the Houses of Parliament, among many others. The entire ride takes about 30 minutes. This is a great opportunity to take photos and soak in the incredible views.
